Tony Mowbray has admitted that he is unsure over his future as Sunderland head coach following their defeat to Luton Town in the Championship play-off semi-final.
Luton reached the Championship play-off final following their 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Tuesday evening.
Mowbray’s side had a 2-1 lead following their first-leg tie, but Luton’s inspired win at Kenilworth Road means they secured a 3-2 aggregate victory to book their place at Wembley Stadium.

Mowbray, 59, has a contract at Sunderland until the end of next season but he says he doesn’t know what the future holds.
He said: “I don’t know (about my future), I’ll just get on with it. I’ve got a contract and I’ll just keep going. I only mention it after the speculation over recent weeks but let’s wait and see.
“Modern day football clubs can do what they want. I’m pretty relaxed about it.”
Gabriel Osho gave Luton the lead inside the 10th minute after tapping home from close range, with the visitors failing to clear a Jordan Clark corner.
Luton skipper Tom Lockyer doubled the lead for the home side after taking advantage of space to head Alfie Doughty’s cross past Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson.
Luton finished third in the Championship’s regular season behind champions Burnley and second-place Sheffield United, who both earned automatic promotion. Sunderland, meanwhile, were sixth and seeking a return to the Premier League after a six-year absence.
