NFL cutdown day arrived Tuesday, and now the initial 53-man rosters are set. We stress “initial” because teams routinely make additional moves after the deadline and following Wednesday’s waiver claims. Many young players who were cut will wind up on their original teams’ practice squads. So could some veterans, now that rule changes allow for as many as six veterans on each practice squad.
